What to expect at your office visit:
- New patient visits:
- Typically, new patient visits are 60-75 minutes.
- At your first visit, please bring all imaging or labs from the past 5 years. This will save time and effort in requesting these records at your first visit.
- The first visit will be mostly consultation. The doctor will collect a detailed health history, perform necessary physical exams, and give a proposed treatment strategy. When necessary and indicated, the doctor may also perform muscle testing (Autonomic Response Testing, ART) to gain more information about your body.
- Labs: If any lab work is necessary to help with the diagnosis or treatment plan, the doctor will request these as well.
- Treatment plan: The doctor almost always provides a typed treatment plan at the end of the visit.
- In-office treatments: If time permits and it is indicated, you may get a treatment at your first visit. If the primary reason you are seeing the doctor is to receive a particular treatment, please let the scheduler know during the scheduling process and/or let the doctor know at the start of the visit to be sure time is allowed for the treatment.
- Return patient visits:
- Typically, return patient visits are 50-60 minutes.
- Consultation, ART (muscle testing), and/or treatments are all possible at a return visit.
- The doctor almost always provides a typed treatment plan at the end of every visit. Lab work is ordered as necessary.
- Treatment-only visits: If your visit is focused only on repeating a prescribed treatment, a 30-minute visit may be acceptable. Please let the scheduler know if you are interested in a 30-minute visit.
